Alcohol Abuse & Smoking
"I am a 54 year old woman who consumed large amounts of alcohol over the past 24 years.
After numerous relationship break downs and my daughter saying “I would lose the right to see my grandson if I kept drinking”....I met a man who wasn’t prepared to accept the intoxicated side of me. No guilt trips, no threats, he just said, you are a beautiful person and I love you very much, but I am not prepared to take on the horrible ugly side of you when your drunk and don’t remember what you said or did the next day.
I didn’t want to do the alcohol programs ... I researched and there was drug therapy, program therapy and hypnotherapy. I chose hypnotherapy. I located Christine via the Hypnotherapy Association. I attended three sessions 5 months ago and now alcohol doesn’t even cross my mind. I go for drinks after work and have a non alcoholic beverage, what shocks me back to reality is watching people getting intoxicated and changing into weird/ugly people…remembering I was there once and am so glad I’m not now.
I had more hypnotherapy with Christine just 5 weeks ago to give up smoking. I have had two sessions and it feels like I have never smoked. I smoked nicotine from the age of 14. All different strengths, filtered, non filtered and even menthol.
“I am a very, very happy person!” I have no addictions/crutches and hope I can live the next thirty odd years (what a waste of the last 24 years) getting to know myself again and enjoying life with my partner and grandchildren. It feels so good to wake up happy, without a hangover and smelling of cigarettes .....
The bottom line is, Hypnotherapy is drug free, I was aware of what I was being told the whole time, there is no commitment to a group, its quick, effective and pain free. I just went and did it, no one had to know, no one had to be around to encourage or support me. It was my decision and I did it for me…
Thankyou Christine for helping me."
